An early morning altercation at a Madison hotel escalated into a shooting that left one man critically injured, according to authorities. Metro Nashville Police responded to the InTown Suites Extended Stay on Myatt Drive just before 12 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Hosea Brown, 33, with a gunshot wound to his upper left chest. The victim was transported to Skyline Medical Center and is expected to make a recovery.

The dispute reportedly began with a heated exchange between the victim and 61-year-old Kenneth Blair. WSMV reported that the conflict emerged following a day of arguments between a woman and Blair, her partner. Two friends, Noel and Hosea Brown, were present and, uncomfortable with Blair's presence, asked him to leave. As tension rose, Blair brandished a firearm and pointed it at Noel before Hosea stepped in and was subsequently shot by Blair.

Following the incident, Blair fled the scene but was apprehended by police in Goodlettsville after witnesses provided information on his whereabouts. WKRN cited officials stating that Blair had booked a room in the 300 block of South Main Street. He faces multiple felony charges, including intentional aggravated assault with bodily injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Blair was subsequently booked into Metro Jail.

Details about the incident remain scarce as the investigation is still active. However, FOX 17 reported that at least one person was hospitalized, confirming that Blair was the suspect in the shooting. The area of the shooting, near Gallatin Pike, has been one of the focal points of police scrutiny. Authorities assure that more information will be forthcoming as the investigation proceeds.
