
In a stark interruption of the Loop's nocturnal calm, a 49-year-old man became the victim of a brutal attack by four males in the early hours of Friday. The incident took place at the 100 block of North Dearborn Street around 1:35 a.m., a detail confirmed by the Chicago Police Department, as per WGN-TV.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the man, unknown to his assailants, was forced to the ground, resulting in injuries to his right leg and bruising to his face.
Following the altercation, emergency responders transported the man to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition. As of now, the search for the individuals responsible is underway, but no one, thus far, has been taken into custody, as WGN-TV reports.
