The incident occurred outside MacArthur's Restaurant, located near Madison Street and Lotus Avenue, and is currently under Chicago Police investigation. According to NBC Chicago, the confrontation began as a verbal dispute between the victim and an unidentified individual, escalating to physical violence before the assailant produced a firearm and shot the victim.
Police stated that the shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. in an small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant, suggesting the men's altercation swiftly intensified. The victim was taken to Loyola Hospital and, despite the circumstances, remains in good condition.
