Following a sighting of suspicious activity in Memphis, local law enforcement has made arrests connected to drugs and weapons. According to a social media post by the Memphis Police Department, officers patrolling the 700 block of Leath Street last night observed a group of males near a white Dodge Charger parked at an abandoned property. Attempts to engage resulted in a pursuit, with two individuals subsequently detained.

Following the detention of two males near the vehicle, officers uncovered a cache of weapons and a significant quantity of marijuana. As per the Memphis Police report, one of the weapons was equipped with a Glock switch, an illegal modification that increases the firearm’s rate of fire.

The arrestees, identified as Brian Tate, 20, and Mikavius Turner, 18, face multiple charges, including Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell Marijuana.
