Middle Tennessee is facing severe weather conditions, with the National Weather Service in Nashville reporting a 100% chance of showers and thunderstorms. A Flood Watch is in effect through Sunday morning, as excessive rainfall is expected across counties such as Cheatham, Davidson, and Williamson.
A Tornado Watch has also been issued until 8 AM CDT for 25 counties, raising concerns about the potential for tornadoes. Residents are advised to monitor updates and stay alert for possible Flood Warnings.
Flash Flood Warnings are active in several areas, including southeastern Davidson County, where flash flooding of small creeks, streets, highways, and low-lying areas is occurring or expected. Similar warnings are in place for parts of Cheatham and Williamson counties.
According to National Weather Service, with road conditions deteriorating and creek levels rising, authorities emphasize the importance of not driving through flooded areas. The situation remains dangerous as the weather continues to affect the region.
