Miami-Dade County's Transit Department has launched the 836 Express Bus, offering a faster commute between the Dolphin Station Park & Ride lot and Downtown Miami, bypassing heavy traffic.
According to the Miami-Dade County website, the service operates weekday mornings from 6 - 9:30 a.m. and afternoons from 3:30 - 7 p.m., with buses running every 10 minutes. A midday service runs every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost per ride is $2.25.
The Dolphin Station Park & Ride lot, located at 12065 NW 12th Street, provides free parking, bike storage, and electric car charging stations. The lot is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., though overnight parking is not available. More information is available on the Miami-Dade government website.
