Starting April 23, the City's roadway widening endeavor marches into its second phase on East 10th Street. The catalyst for this temporary confinement is the sprawling East 10th Street Widening Project, which has pressed the Rogers Group into creating a new pattern for passage. According to a public notice from the City of Cookeville, "traffic barrels and cones will be placed to navigate drivers through the new lane-shifts."
Those behind the wheel should also steel themselves for intermittent pauses in the thoroughfare, as workers may sporadically claim a lane or two for the moving equipment and supplies. "The City of Cookeville appreciates the continued supports of its residents and visitors as major infrastructure improvements are being made," reveals the official communication.
