A vacant home in North Miami Beach was destroyed by fire early morning yesterday. The fire started just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of cand 20th Lane. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) officials said they arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames, according to Local 10 News. No injuries were reported as the home was unoccupied at the time.
A total of 11 MDFR units responded to the fire and successfully controlled the blaze, though the house was left in ruins. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by MDFR officials.
Witnesses in the area captured video of the fire as it consumed the home. Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames and are now working on recovery and clean-up efforts, as per WSVN. The investigation into the fire's origin is ongoing.
