
A 24-year-old man, Dawson Hiegert from Rego Park, Queens, has been arrested on charges of digital voyeurism after an incident at the Delta Sky Club at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. According to an arrest report from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a passenger accused Hiegert of using a cellphone camera to record him from under a bathroom stall door. The victim reportedly noticed distinctive black loafers and a foot tapping, which led him to identify Hiegert, Local 10 reports.
The victim confronted Hiegert outside the restroom, and authorities were contacted. Hiegert initially denied taking any photos but later reportedly confessed.
He was arrested on Tuesday, as per the Broward County Mugshots. He was held on a $7,500 bond. Hiegert is facing felony charges of video voyeurism, which is a serious offense for those 19 or older committing a first offense.
