In the early hours of Tuesday in Otsego, firefighters displayed decisive action in rescuing a 49-year-old woman from the second floor of a burning home. According to a statement by the Otsego Fire Department, provided to WOODTV, the fire began just after midnight, quickly engulfing the upper floor of a home in west Otsego.

With the interior filled with smoke, firefighters were unable to ascend the stairs, instead, they spotted the woman through a window and formed a collaborative rescue plan with the Otsego Police Department, as detailed by a WKZO report. Utilizing a ladder from the home's garage, they managed to reach and pull her to safety, though in the harrowing process she fell between the house and the garage.
