According to the City of Las Cruces, the service disruption is expected to occur between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on April 3. Notice of the impending water shutdown, posted on the doors of the homes likely to be affected, aims to ensure that residents are not caught unawares. Upon the restoration of water service, some residents might encounter discolored water. Although the water is safe to drink, the city reassures the city recommends waiting to wash laundry until after the water is clear.
