Spring Hill residents should brace themselves for traffic changes starting this week, as a new pattern will be implemented on a busy section of Port Royal Road, the City of Spring Hill's municipal government has announced on social media. The stretch from Saturn Parkway to Jim Warren Road is set for a revamp, due to construction work that necessitates a reorganization of the traffic flow.
The changes kicked off yesterday, Monday, March 31, and motorists are urged to exercise caution when navigating this part of Port Royal Road, officials warned in a post on Facebook. Alongside the new traffic pattern, speed limits have been reduced for the safety of construction workers who are working within the zone.
The social media alert from March 31 aims to mitigate disruptions by providing commuters with advanced notice of the traffic pattern change—efforts reflective of the city's commitment to maintaining order and safety during the construction process. "Please obey the reduced speed limits and be aware of workers within the construction zone," the announcement stressed.
