Tragedy struck early this morning in the Tower Grove East neighborhood when 16-year-old Jamad Edwards was fatally shot on the 2800 block of Minnesota Avenue. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, police were called to the scene just before 2:20 a.m. and found Edwards with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident, but no suspects or motives have been identified at this time. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Homicide Division at 314-444-5371 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
