
A robbery at Barrett Brothers Park left two juveniles without their belongings last night, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The incident, which unfolded at the park located at 2901 Goodfellow, reportedly occurred around 6:30 p.m., when the young victims found themselves amidst what began as a vehicle chase and abruptly turned into a direct confrontation.
The juveniles, whose ages and identities have not been disclosed, claimed they witnessed two vehicles, a white SUV, and a red sedan, maneuvering wildly and appearing to chase each other. Fearing for their safety, they attempted to vacate the vicinity, but the situation escalated rapidly as both vehicles entered the field and blocked their path. Following this, three males and one female emerged from the vehicles and confronted the juveniles. According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, one of the males brandished a gun and demanded their property.
Subsequently, the perpetrators made off with a black hoodie and an iPhone before fleeing the scene. Officers from the 5th district responded to the call, and an ongoing investigation is being conducted to locate the suspects involved in the robbery. The police currently have limited information on the identities of the suspects.
