
Clackamas County deputies responded to a call about a suspected trespasser on SE Aldercrest Road, leading to the arrest of 38-year-old Taylor David Martello, who had an active warrant from Washington State. The incident began when authorities found a stolen 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe outside a vacant house, and Martello, who was inside, refused to surrender, as per the Clackamas County Sheriff's website.
After hours of negotiations, the Clackamas County Interagency SWAT and Crisis Negotiations Team were called in. Martello eventually surrendered peacefully around 4:45 p.m., and no injuries were reported. He faces charges including Violation of a Restraining Order, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Criminal Trespass, and charges from Washington State related to escape, assault, and strangulation.
