Anoka County has designated May 12–16 as Bike to Work Week, with Bike to Work Day set for May 16. The initiative encourages residents to opt for a healthier, eco-friendly commute, whether they’re seasoned cyclists or first-time riders, according to the City of Blaine.
To drive forward this initiative, local businesses are being encouraged to get their gears turning and support the cause. An announcement published by the City of Blaine lays out the benefits for companies that join the ride: promoting employee health, supporting sustainability, and fostering team spirit through organizing group rides or challenges. A community building exercise that also saves the planet, businesses rolling out Bike to Work Week events might find that this is the boost they need for morale, and their carbon footprint reduction goals.
"Let’s bike toward a healthier, greener future together during Bike to Work Week 2025!" as stated by the City of Blaine.
