Brian Finn, a 61-year-old former music teacher from Lockport, is wanted by the police on battery charges involving a 14-year-old student. As reported by FOX 32 Chicago, an arrest warrant has been issued for Finn related to events while he was teaching at Brooks Middle School in suburban Bolingbrook.
Per the information obtained from ABC 7 Chicago, Finn is facing one battery charge for slapping a student's buttocks and another for kissing a student on the lips. The allegations of inappropriate communication with the student initially came to light on April 8, triggering the investigation.
The Valley View School District took action against Finn by placing him on administrative leave as inquiries progressed. According to FOX 32 Chicago, Finn was officially relieved of his duties by the school district on May 5 following an internal investigation. This investigation also led to the termination of two other staff members, who have not been charged with any crimes at this time.
