Tragedy struck earlier today at the 3400 block of State Road 7 in Broward County; two individuals lost their lives in a suspected street racing incident. According to Local 10 News, authorities reported that three to four vehicles were involved in racing when they collided with two motorcycles. The incident occurred just south of 595 around midnight, leaving the local community in shock.
The two victims on the motorcycles were pronounced death at the vivid scene. Two additional individuals were taken to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The Davie Police Department has begun an exhaustive investigation, but the drivers responsible for the mayhem have not been apprehended. A section of the roadway was closed for an investigation but it has since been reopened, CBS Miami News reports.
As the search for the suspects continues, law enforcement officials are calling for the public's assistance.
