Cabarrus County has announced closures and schedule changes in observance of Memorial Day on Monday next week. According to the Cabarrus County release, all government offices will be closed and will reopen on Tuesday next week. County libraries will be open on Friday and Saturday before Memorial Day but will be closed on the holiday itself, resuming normal operations the following day.

County parks will remain open throughout the weekend during regular hours. However, Active Living Centers and LunchPlus Clubs will be closed on Monday. The Camp T.N. Spencer pool opens for the season starting Saturday, operating from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and until 7 p.m. on weekends. Admission is $5 and can be paid at the gate or online.

Frank Liske Park's mini golf course will begin daily operations on Monday next week. The Construction and Demolition Landfill on Irish Potato Road will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, then closed for Memorial Day, reopening on Tuesday. The Household Hazardous Waste Facility off N.C. 49 will also be closed on Memorial Day and will resume service the next day.

Waste collection services by Republic Services will continue as scheduled for residents in unincorporated areas of the county.
