The City of Carmel will host its first EidFest on Saturday next week to celebrate the end of Ramadan. The event will be held at 1 Civic Square from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature cultural performances, food, and activities highlighting Muslim heritage.
According to the City of Carmel website, organized in partnership with the Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Human Relations and the EidFest Committee, the festival is open to the public. Mayor Sue Finkam has invited residents to attend. Local restaurants will provide food, and henna art will be available. The event space will include a closed road near the Civic Square Fountain, and attendees are encouraged to bike to the event.
EidFest is a free event that will also include opportunities for cultural education, networking, and connections with local businesses. Free parking will be available at locations such as the Civic Square Garage on Red Truck Rd. and the Veterans Way Garage at Carmel City Center, among others.
More details about the event can be found on the City of Carmel’s website.
