Commuters and residents in Casa Grande should brace for a minor shake-up in their daily routes as Metronet continues its mission to amplify the city's connectivity. According to the City of Casa Grande's official announcement, fiber installation efforts are migrating to new turf, specifically Florence Boulevard stretching from Kadota Avenue to a point just east of Peart Road and also on the nearby 6th Street, south of Florence, wedged between Morrisson Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue, starting Monday, May 12.
For those navigating these arteries during the construction period set to span roughly two weeks, lane shifts will be par for the course and while the crews are set to labor Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the city has put out a call for drivers to dial back their speed and proceed with heightened vigilance amidst the cone zones. This dance of disruption, though temporary, necessitates both alertness and adaptability from all who traverse the corridor.
Moving beneath the surface or taking to the skies, Metronet's team, flaunting their emblazoned gear and vehicles, will be out and about, tending to either aerial or underground fiber installations with an eye for minimal disarray. Embracing technologies such as advanced horizontal drilling, they pledge to practice a surgical precision that respects the landscape, mitigating the scars often wrought by such infrastructural undertakings.
Communication with the populace remains paramount throughout this digital expansion effort and in service of that goal Metronet has launched a construction portal replete with explainer videos and a hub for voicing concerns over subterranean assets like sprinkler systems or pet fences, "all Metronet team members and vehicles will be clearly marked with the company's logo" for ease of identification and the portal ensures that no question goes unanswered, no worry unaddressed.
