A 19-year-old Chicago resident, Tymarion Averyhart, has been charged with a string of serious felonies, including aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, aggravated kidnapping while armed, and multiple residential burglaries, according to Chicago Police Department reports. The charges stem from incidents involving two sexual assaults and additional burglaries in the city's 24th District.
Averyhart, of the 6200 block of N. Hermitage Ave. in Chicago, allegedly assaulted a 21-year-old woman earlier on May 1, 2025. He was later arrested in the vicinity of the 1800 block of W. Greenleaf Ave. The accused is also connected with the sexual assault of a 27-year-old victim that took place last December, along with two more burglaries in January of this year, all within proximity of each other in North Bell Avenue's 6200 block.
A detainment hearing for Averyhart was held on May 4, 2025, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. The court proceedings follow his arrest and the formal charges, which include one felony count of home invasion with a sex offense and aggravated unlawful restraint. Police have not released further details about the ongoing investigation.
