In recognition of Memorial Day, the City of Deerfield Beach is giving some of its city facilities a day off. On Monday, May 26, various public service operations will be suspending their normal rhythms to mark the national holiday, according to an announcement shared on their official website.
Residents planning to cool off or enjoy some leisure time will find some respite, as the Aquatic Center is opting out of the closure, welcoming visitors from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. People looking to dispose of waste, however, will not be disrupted by the holiday, as Solid Waste and bulk pick-up services will forge ahead on their usual schedule. City officials encourage locals to have their containers out the night before, as detailed by the City of Deerfield Beach.
Yet, the city has determined the Recycling Drop Off Center will not partake in the usual Monday operations and thus will remain closed for the day. This change might require residents to adjust their recycling routines for the week.
