The Caribbean-American Heritage Festival is coming to Pembroke Pines this June. The City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is joining forces with the Broward County Cultural Division to bring a vibrant celebration of Caribbean-American culture to the Charles F. Dodge City Center on June 28, from 7 pm to 11 pm. The festival will feature live music, Caribbean food, and interactive experiences celebrating Caribbean culture.

According to the City's announcement, the family-friendly festival offers free admission and features performances by artists like Rupee, LaVie, Roger George, and Visions Band. The Mucko Jumbies and Melo Groove Steel Orchestra will also bring high-energy music and dance to the event.

Caribbean Delights will serve island cuisine and showcase Caribbean goods, giving attendees a taste of the islands. Starting at 5 p.m., The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery will host Art Activation, a hands-on workshop led by artist Angelo Bolaños. Participants can create embroidered art using symbols, colors, and patterns that reflect their heritage.
