The FBI is investigating a high-stakes robbery that took place at a U.S. Bank branch in Blue Island. On Friday afternoon, three armed men targeted an armored vehicle, brandishing handguns to carry out the theft. According to a report by the Chicago Sun-Times, the incident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. at the bank located at 11960 Western Ave.
Responding to the call, police searched for the suspects described as in their late teens to early 20s, with medium builds, wearing dark-colored sweatpants, hooded sweatshirts, and light gray gloves. The CBS News Chicago report specified the suspects as three Black males, and one was noted for wearing a black face mask. In their getaway, they fled in an unknown vehicle and, as of the latest reports, remain at large.
