Rev up your engines, eco-enthusiasts of Flagstaff, because the electric vehicle revolution is charging right into your neighborhood. In a robust push towards a more sustainable future, DRIVE Electric Arizona in partnership with the City of Flagstaff and Northern Arizona University is bringing the Flagstaff EV Ride & Drive event to the local folks. Clear your calendars for Saturday, May 31, 2025, and make your way to the NAU Campus Parking Lot P62A between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a first-hand experience of the latest electric vehicles. And folks, it's all free.
Whether you're a seasoned EV driver or a newcomer with a tinge of range anxiety, there's something for everyone. Electric dream machines like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the zippy Rivian R1T, and that sleek piece of tech on wheels, the Lucid Air, along with BMW i4 and Kia EV6 among others, will be lined up for visitors to test drive. According to the City of Flagstaff, "Attendees will have the chance to get behind the wheel and test drive a wide range of the latest electric vehicles."
This event helps you understand the costs and benefits of owning an electric vehicle. Local EV owners will be there to share their daily experiences with visitors. Plus, you won't need to be worrying about digging for information on EV tax credits and charging options, because there will be plenty of booths stocked with all the resources one needs to make the electric switch. John Martinson, President of DRIVE Electric Arizona, highlights the event's philosophy, saying, "This is a hands-on opportunity for the Flagstaff community to see how fun, practical, and accessible electric vehicles have become," as noted by the city's official website.
DRIVE Electric Arizona's mission is crystal clear – driving up the adoption of zero-emission vehicles through events like these. Check out more details and registration (which is optional but encouraged) for the Flagstaff EV Ride & Drive event at Flagstaff's official site.
