According to the City of Gresham, the open house is scheduled today at Gresham City Hall, located at 1333 NW Eastman Parkway, starting from 5:00 pm. The event is set to provide attendees with a peek into the workings of law enforcement and is open to the general public, including friends and families of prospective attendees.
No RSVP is necessary for those planning to just attend, but for those who wish to participate more actively, the department has encouraged potential attendees to drop a line to [email protected] to let them know of their plans. In a move to possibly recruit new officers, the Gresham Police Chief Travis Gullberg described the department as a place "where elite training, exceptional opportunities, and a commitment to excellence empower you to serve with purpose, grow with pride, and lead with honor," in a statement featured on the city's official website.
There's an opportunity to take the National Testing Network (NTN) law enforcement exam on the spot. Interested individuals will need to register if they plan to take this test, which is slated to begin at 7:00 pm. Aspiring police officers are to gain insight on the hiring process and job specifics during the event's duration, the city’s announcement detailed.
