Public servants in Hollywood are set to be honored during Public Service Recognition Week with the annual "Lunch on the Lawn" appreciation event. But, as reported by the City of Hollywood, this means a bit of a shuffle for anyone trying to park at City Hall between May 6 and May 8.
Parking will be limited as 41 spots become temporarily unavailable, so visitors with business at City Hall are advised to plan ahead. The disruption is due to an event recognizing the dedicated public servants who help keep the city running smoothly. Those expecting to take part in the City Commission Meeting, or who have other matters that require their presence at City Hall during this particular trifecta of days, have been given a heads-up to look beyond the usual confines for parking solutions. As an alternative, the City points to the vacant lot resting comfortably to the west of 2717 Van Buren Street.
In recognition of the slight inconvenience, the City has expressed gratitude to citizens for their patience and cooperation as they celebrate the dedication and hard work of City staff.
