Residents along Diplomat Parkway should prepare for upcoming construction this summer, as the city begins work to address speeding and enhance roadway safety. Starting June 2, crews will begin installing speed tables along the stretch from the Hallandale Beach city limit to Washington Street. This initial phase is expected to be completed by July 9. Additional streets are scheduled for similar improvements in the following phases.
Construction is scheduled to take place primarily during daytime hours to minimize nighttime disruption. Residents should expect occasional lane closures and detours as part of necessary safety precautions and traffic control measures. Access to homes will remain open throughout the project, and emergency services will not be impeded.
