The City of Homestead has launched a new initiative aimed at engaging youth in local governance and public service. College students interested in gaining insight into the operations of city government can now apply for the City of Homestead's 2025 Summer Internship Program.
Applicants interested in making their entry into Public Works, Electric Utilities, or Public Administration are encouraged to head over to the city's official website to submit their applications. The program sets its eligibility criteria to include only those in good academic standing and currently matriculating in an accredited college or university. An edge is granted to the residents of Homestead, with the announcement specifying that applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The deadline for the 2025 Summer Internship Program is June 6 at 5:00 p.m. This initiative aims to involve students in local government and provide practical experience. Interested candidates or those seeking more information are advised to contact the Human Resources department at 305-224-4460.
