The City of Las Cruces has reason to celebrate, as its Communication Office takes home several honors at the 46th Annual Telly Awards, an event that accolades standout achievements in video and television across a myriad of screens. Notably, this year's awards are a showcase of the city's burgeoning creativity and technical expertise, with seven Telly Awards added to its trophy cabinet, according to the City of Las Cruces.

Without pitting competitors against one another, the Telly Awards judges evaluate entries on their merit, granting Gold, Silver, or Bronze accolades based on a collective scoring system. The Las Cruces team, comprised of Technical Operations Manager Adrian Guzman, Media Production Specialist Nathaniel Bitting, and Digital Content Specialist Cherish Pena, collaborated closely with city departments to produce the award-winning content. In a world where over 13,000 entries vied for recognition, Las Cruces’ talent managed to rise to the occasion.

Among the works honored were productions such as "I Can't Do Every Job," awarded a Silver Telly for Directing and a Bronze for Recruitment, while "Join the Chase – LCPD" snagged a Gold Telly for its Visual Effects. The "Small Business Storefront Repair Program" took away a Silver in Public Service & PSA, and "It’s Your Why" earned a Bronze in Recruitment. A creatively animated piece titled "The Zipper Method" won Bronze, and "2024 City of Las Cruces Highlights" received Silver under Corporate Image.
