A woman is reportedly at large after allegedly shooting a man during an altercation outside a northwest Miami-Dade food store, authorities said. The incident took place yesterday afternoon near Lakeside Market at 11050 NW 17th Ave. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene just after 12:30 p.m., according to CBS News Miami.
Both the sheriff's office and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived to find the victim with a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center and is currently listed in stable condition. Reportedly, the victim and the woman were caught up in a "verbal dispute which escalated" leading the woman to pull out a weapon and shoot him. This information was disclosed by a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, as captured by Local 10.
The assailant managed to flee the vicinity before law enforcement arrived and has not yet been apprehended. The sheriff's office has yet to provide additional details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting or the identity of the woman involved.
