Yesterday afternoon, a shooting occurred in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood, resulting in one man being injured. Atlanta Police responded to the scene at 3724 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW after receiving a report of a person shot. Officers found a 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his lower leg. According to the Atlanta Police Department press release, he was conscious and breathing at the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition. The Atlanta Police Department's Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating the incident. At this time, no information has been released regarding suspects or a possible motive.
