For those planning to spend some leisure time at the War Memorial Complex in Wailuku, you'll want to note the temporary closures scheduled for May due to public events. As per an announcement from the County of Maui Department of Park and Recreation (DPR), several facilities within the complex will not be accessible on select dates this month.
The closures will affect the Coach Soichi Sakamoto Pool and the complex's Tennis Courts on Saturday, May 10, while the Coach Soichi Sakamoto Pool, Tennis Courts, and Little League Fields #1-5 will be off-limits on Sunday, May 18, through Monday, May 19, and again on Saturday, May 31. In addition, Keōpūolani Regional Park is set to open later than usual, at 9 a.m., on May 10, as detailed by the County of Maui.
