Following a tip, the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office made multiple arrests at what turned out to be an illegal game fowl fighting event. The raid occurred on Friday afternoon and resulted in 42 individuals facing charges related to animal fighting and resisting arrest. According to the Miami-Dade County's release, deputies arrived at 14287 SW 192nd Avenue after reports of a physical altercation were phoned in.

The deputies were surprised to find not only people fighting but also roosters equipped for cockfighting roaming around the property.
