Miami-Dade Transit is dialing down to holiday mode this Memorial Day. In a recent release, the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) announced a modified schedule for Monday, May 26, aligning with typical weekend and Sunday service patterns. Regular transit riders should expect changes this weekend as holiday schedules take effect. Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a weekend schedule, while Metrobus and MetroConnect will follow a Sunday timetable. However, MetroLink service will be suspended for the holiday.
According to the official announcement, the gears of the County offices will come to a halt, staying closed for the day, including all the administrative and customer service offices of DTPW. Working on their regular beat, Special Transportation Services (STS) will run as usual. For those plotting their holiday journeys or canceling plans, the STS reservation line is open at 305-871-1111.
Riders opting for digital convenience can manage their EASY Cards online—whether purchasing or reloading—via the Transit Store, GO Miami-Dade app, Token Transit, Citymapper, or Transit app. Contactless payments are also accepted for quick tap-and-go access. Items lost during a commute can be reported and recovered through the Department of Transportation and Public Works’ Lost and Found service, available online.
