Adventure sails back into Kennesaw with a family-friendly showing of "Moana 2" at Swift-Cantrell Park. As part of the 2025 Outdoor Movie Series presented by well-known local sponsors Cobb EMC and Wellstar Health System, the City of Kennesaw is offering a free cinematic experience under the stars on June 7. "Moana 2," a PG-rated continuation of the oceanic saga, is set to start at 8:45 p.m. against the backdrop of evening's twilit embrace, projected onto a giant inflatable screen.
The community is invited to mark their calendars and come prepared to craft memories. Arrivals are encouraged early to claim good spots with blankets and low-back chairs. A note to spectators – high-backed chairs, umbrellas, tents, and canopies are not permitted, to maintain candid, unobstructed views for all. The pre-movie atmosphere, starting at 6 p.m., promises to engage families with various activities like a chalk contest, a look at the stars through Unistellar telescopes, and an innovative Children’s Entrepreneur Market populated by local, youthful vendors of ages between 5 and 16, selling everything from handmade crafts to delicious, homemade baked goods, according to the City of Kennesaw's recent announcement.
To enhance the experience, a limited number of VIP tent and chair rentals are on offer as well. A rental includes a 10-by-10-foot tent setup by the Parks & Recreation staff, alongside a 6-foot table and six chairs for a package price of $50.
