A tragic incident unfolded last Thursday afternoon when a motorcyclist lost his life in a collision at the intersection of 8640 South and State Street in Salt Lake County. According to KSL, Cottonwood Heights Police Sgt. Gary Young reported that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when the crash occurred around 4 p.m. The rider was struck by a vehicle that was attempting a left turn. The impact was severe enough to claim the motorcyclist’s life at the scene.
KUTV reports that the road remained closed well into the evening as investigators meticulously worked to piece together the events leading up to the collision.
