Early Thursday morning, a fire broke out on the third floor of Chicago Academy High School, located on the Northwest Side of the city. According to reporting by FOX 32 Chicago, the Chicago Police Department stated that the fire started around 1 a.m. at the school situated at 3400 N. Austin Ave.
The blaze was extinguished by the Chicago Fire Department, and the Chicago Police confirmed that the building was unoccupied during the incident, ensuring that no injuries were reported. The school had closed its doors for the day, leaving the halls and classrooms silent and empty when the fire started its destructive dance.
As per the Chicago Sun-Times, officers and firefighters had responded to the fire at Chicago Academy High School following a call that came through around 1:05 a.m. The emergency services' swift response played a crucial role in preventing any potential harm to nearby structures or residents.
