The Palm Beach County Library System is set to unveil its relocated Library to Go book vending machine at a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event. Scheduled for May 12 at 10:30 a.m., the event marks a significant move from the Robert Weisman Governmental Center lobby to the Westgate Recreation Center.

According to a recent Palm Beach County press release, the vending machine will now serve the community from a more accessible location inside the gymnasium building at 3691 Oswego Avenue, West Palm Beach, 33409. With the new location situated near schools, frequented by families, and surrounded by scenic park views, the library expects an increase in book borrowing from local literature enthusiasts.

Library to Go functions much like any vending machine, offering an array of new and popular books for library cardholders of all ages to check out. "We're very excited to have the Library to Go be an extension of our services to the Westgate community," Library Director Douglas Crane told Palm Beach County. In addition, returned materials can also be accepted at this unmanned device, ensuring a full-circle library experience.

Residents eager to explore the Library to Go at its new location can find more details on the Palm Beach County Library website.
