San Luis residents have the opportunity to informally engage with their city leaders. The City of San Luis has announced "Conversations with Council," a series of monthly meet-ups designed for locals to directly communicate with their elected officials in a laid-back setting. This initiative aims to promote transparency and foster community involvement without the constraints of a formal meeting structure.

The gatherings offer a platform for citizens to casually drop by, grab a seat, and discuss concerns, ideas, or questions they may have. “We want to hear from our community, your feedback is what helps shape our priorities and decisions,” Council Member Lizeth Servin said, emphasizing the approachability of these sessions. She told the city's official website, “These conversations are about listening, learning, and building stronger relationships with the people we serve.”

With the first session scheduled for June 7, 2025, the city council plans to host these events in diverse locations across San Luis to ensure easy access for all residents. Each Conversations with Council meet-up will run from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, starting off at Eddie’s Food & Drink. The city has also created an easily navigable path for residents to submit their questions or comments in advance by visiting sanluisaz.gov/communityconnections.
