The Spring celebration, hosted by Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation, flaunts a wealth of activities ranging from live sheep shearing to exploring the craftsmanship of local artisans, ensuring a day of interactive education and community engagement.
Set for Saturday, May 17 from 9 am to 1 pm, Farm Fest includes opportunities to visit baby farm animals and watch live sheep shearing demonstrations, an event that both enlightens and entertains by revealing the intricate cycle of wool production, also featuring 4-H and IFA hosted fun farm activities that are suitable for every demographic, families will have ample ways to connect with agrarian roots. A bevy of local artisans and food trucks will be arrayed on the central lawn, amidst the fiddlers playing on the north lawn from 11 am to 1 pm, offering visitors a taste of local flavors and sounds, even as they shop or engage in the timeless jubilance of spring, according to Salt Lake County.
In addition to the pastoral frolics, visitors can delve into the past with free Historic House Tours, available from 10 am to 2 pm.
