Teenager Wounded in Early Morning Shooting in East Nashville, Police Seek White Sedan Linked to Incident

Today, a teenage resident of East Nashville became the latest victim of gun violence following a shooting incident that occurred around 4:30 a.m. According to NewsChannel 5, the event took place near 522 S 5th Street, where a white sedan was seen rolling up and down before a shooting unfolded.

A passenger from the vehicle reportedly alighted and fired multiple shots at a 17-year-old who was standing in the doorway of his residence. The Metro Nashville Police Department has confirmed that the teenager was transported to a hospital for medical attention and is expected to pull through. Details regarding a suspect have not been provided as the investigation continues.

Witnesses at the scene described a white sedan driving into a lot, followed by a passenger exiting the car and then discharging several gunshots in the direction of the young individual, as detailed in a report by WKRN. The victim suffered a head injury, but survival is anticipated.

Furthermore, this comes on the heels of another shooting just a day prior, in the same area, where a woman suffered a leg injury due to shots fired into an apartment. Police had reported that other people were also present inside the apartment at the time. The statement reported by WSMV did not specify if the shootings are connected.
