Attention Hollywood residents and visitors: traffic delays are expected next week that may affect commutes. City contractors are digging in to connect utilities for the forthcoming New Police Headquarters, and it's going to cause some traffic disruptions along Entrada Drive from Tuesday, May 27, to Friday, May 30. According to the City of Hollywood, some lane closures are anticipated, but access to all residences and the Orangebrook Golf & Country Club will be maintained throughout the construction period.
The project involves work on the water main, specifically along Entrada Drive between Van Buren Street and Calle Largo Drive. While the city considers it unlikely, there is a possibility of reduced water pressure during this time. If water pressure does drop, residents are advised to open all taps and let them run for several minutes until normal pressure is restored, helping to ensure continued access to water throughout the construction period.
The impact of the construction extends beyond drivers and homeowners, potentially disrupting daily routines in the area. Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, allowing extra time for travel and morning activities to accommodate any delays or inconveniences caused by the ongoing work.
