The incident took place on the afternoon of Sunday, with Chicago police confirming that it happened around 2 p.m. in the 7300 block of South Chappel Avenue. The victim, found with a gunshot wound to her back, was rapidly transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she remains in a critical condition, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
