A recent shooting on Monday evening has left a young man critically injured near Wade Walker Park in DeKalb County. The incident was reported to have occurred shortly before 7:15 p.m. at the park's proximity, located at the intersection of Rockbridge Road and S. Stone Mountain Lithonia Road.
Police arrived on the scene to find the young man with life-threatening injuries. As of now, his identity remains undisclosed to the public. "The victim is a young man who was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries," the DeKalb County Police Department said in a statement obtained by Atlanta News First. McCray, a local resident, expressed their concern to FOX 5 Atlanta, "It's unnerving not knowing what's happened, I bring my kids here all the time. It could have been any of us."

They have encouraged community members to anonymously send tips via the Tip411 app or to text "DKPD" followed by their tip to 847411.
