A tragic event unfolded near the Lehi Rodeo Grounds, as a 14-year-old girl named Jenna Sharp succumbed to her injuries on Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on May 30. The collision occurred when Jenna was leaving a multi-stake dance held at the venue, according to KSLTV. Jenna had been under medical care at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City since the accident occurred.
Following the days of the incident, the community galvanized to support Jenna's family in their period of grave loss, a GoFundMe page was set up by a family friend where the family's heartache and Jenna's virtues were expressed, calling her "loyal, kind, spunky, and full of light,” as per ABC4.
Jenna's untimely departure has left profound grief in its wake, yet her family finds solace in the legacy she leaves behind through the act of organ donation. In a profoundly impactful act, her organs have gone on to save six lives, her family revealed in an homage to her generous spirit. "Her beautiful soul," they added, will continue to positively affect many more lives beyond those she directly saved. "We believe this is what Jenna would have wanted," as conveyed by KUTV.
