In the early hours of Wednesday, an intersection in the Woodlawn neighborhood became the site of a car crash involving two Chicago police officers and a civilian. The officers, responding to a call, were traveling northbound on South Cottage Grove Avenue when their vehicle, with emergency lights and sirens activated, collided with a green sedan, reported the Chicago Sun-Times.
Around 1 a.m., while heading to the scene of an incident, the police car crashed into the sedan. Both officers were subsequently taken to a nearby hospital and are in good condition, having sustained minor injuries.
