Early Sunday morning, a 63-year-old man became the unintended victim of a shooting incident in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood, according to Chicago police. John Louden, identified by authorities, was inside a home on the 1300 block of South Kolin Avenue around 4:09 a.m. when bullets, fired from outside, pierced the walls and struck him, as reported by NBC Chicago.
The gravity of Louden's injuries necessitated urgent medical attention, and he was promptly transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where initially his condition was critical as he fought for his life, but despite the efforts to save him, Louden succumbed to his injuries and passed away, which the Chicago Sun-Times confirmed.
