Shoppers are gearing up for Amazon's Prime Day 2025, which promises four days of exclusive deals and savings. Kicking off on July 8 and running through July 11, the event marks a first for the online retail giant, which has opted to extend the shopping spree beyond its traditional 48-hour window.
Reports from NBC Chicago mention an early deal that's fueling Prime members’ enthusiasm: a lucrative gas discount. In what could be perceived as a timely response to fuel prices, which averaged $3.16 a gallon according to AAA, Amazon is offering Prime members $1 off per gallon at select gas stations. This promotion runs from July 3 to July 6, over the Fourth of July weekend.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Tribune lists some of the early deals, spotlighting tech gadgets like the Apple AirTag 4-Pack and the Beats Studio Pro Wireless Bluetooth Noise-canceling Headphones. Other early bird specials include kitchen appliances and an array of electronics, like Echo Show 8 bundles and DEWALT power tools.
To take advantage of the gas discount, Prime members must sign up for BP's free Earnify rewards program, which collaborates with Amazon's promotion at Amoco, AM/PM, and BP gas stations. After linking their Prime account to Earnify, they can locate participating gas stations using the app and redeem the offer at the pump by entering their phone number or linked payment method. It should be noted, however, that the $1 per gallon discount applies for up to 35 gallons, and a standard 10 cents off per gallon is available year-round.
For those looking forward to Prime Day itself, the range of discounted products hints at substantial savings across various categories, suitable for tech enthusiasts, avid readers, home chefs, and more. The bargain event is set to feature high-demand products, likely drawing millions of shoppers worldwide. As the day nears, customers should keep their eyes on Amazon for moment-by-moment deals and discounts.
